In the blogosphere, everybody has an opinion on everything. Even casual browsing of the blogs out there can cause one to get serious neck injury from nodding and shaking one’s head about bloggers’ opinions on all things that matter and some that don’t.

At the minimum, blogging is a harmless way of letting off steam, but sometimes one wonders if all those blog entries one merrily punches out are being read by the targets of one’s rants and criticism. On 1/22/04, on my other blog site, I wrote a “memo” to Meg Whitman, the CEO of eBay, playfully chiding her for the low-grade supermarket-flyer-look of eBay’s homepage; today I went to eBay’s site, and eerily, the look of the site has improved. I know; somebody out there is rolling her eyes and saying, “Ms. Whitman, who got paid $2.1 million last year for her salary, not to mention the stock options, had the luxury of taking time from her busy schedule to read your blog and instruct her people to do what you suggested? Yeah, like, sure.”
