Views about the future of blogging in the context of digital culture vary. Some are already predicting that it will fade, the way “geocities.com fad” did, whereas the enthusiasts think this is only the beginning of a new trend not unlike writing emails, which is now firmly part of the modern life. I have no idea which prediction has more truth to it. There are reports saying that thousands of blogs have been neglected or simply abandoned, and yet, thousands more are starting every day.

The intellectual component of blogging forces a blogger to organize his or her thoughts due to the awareness that whatever one posts will shine on the neon screens of friends and faceless strangers far away. The digital process of this mode of communication seems cold, nevertheless, that indescribable sense of joy both the writers and the readers experience is decidedly warm.
